Want to be tutored and learn how to make your own stained glass art? Unleash your inner artist by exploring the captivating art of stained glass. With the guidance of an experienced instructor with over 30 years of experience, you'll have the opportunity to cut, grind, construct, and solder your very own stained glass masterpiece. We focus on the Tiffany technique to allow more intricacy and design freedom than other methods.
INTRODUCTION: Students will make a choice from 6 designs (up to 10" X 10”) provided by the studio. Please make arrangements to make your own glass selection 24 hours or more before the first class. Get tutored in the steps of the copper foil method of stained glass (cutting, grinding, fitting, foiling, soldering, cleaning and waxing). Try different tools before you buy. The materials fee includes copies, transparencies, glass, copper foil, solder, flux, patina, KwikClean liquid and wax.
Stained Glass Tutoring
During the tutoring session, students will learn a variety of techniques, such as glass cutting, grinding, foiling, leading, soldering, and patina application. They may also learn about the history and evolution of stained glass art and different styles and design concepts.
These tutoring sessions can be tailored to different skill levels, from beginners to more experienced artists. They provide a creative outlet and an opportunity for students to develop a new skill or refine existing skills while producing a unique work of art that they can take home and enjoy.
